Welcome to Future Projects! Everything here has at least some chance of existing in years to come - assuming I don't get struck by lightning or etc. The chances of each or the ordering for them may change as time goes by, so stay tuned.
Any titles, plot-points, or blurbs are subject to change!
High Fantasy
I've already made many cuts to the current draft and with surprisingly minor tweaks, yes, Spirit Rider: The Royal Problem COULD be a standalone book. But in my head it's always been the first in a series which I've 90% plotted out. Even if just for me, the sequels will be written.

Blurb(s) to come.
Urban Fantasy / Religious(?) / Comedy(?)
My first (and so far last) attempt at nanowrimo. I couldn't do the whole thing in a month, but the plot became something which I am surprisingly passionate about. It's a tad more adult than Spirit Rider, if only by the subject matter, but at the same time, definitely sillier too. Needs a solid ending before much more is written I think.

Despite a promising childhood of hellfire and mayhem, middle-aged Antichrist Damien Rose is a long way from conquering the Earth. Now his Father has revealed a second Antichrist, who plans to usurp him and bring about the apocalypse in three days time. After all his planning, Damien isn’t going to take that lying down. So with only a cheerful and slightly dim Satanist at his side, Damien needs to stop his sibling and avert doomsday… if only so he can do it properly himself.
Thriller(?) / Sci-Fi
Inspired by various sci-fi films and social media, this revolves around both a father who's daughter is abducted by aliens and the police detective assigned to the case. One of the things I wanted to skip with this story was the often-seen trope of people not believing them about the aliens / abduction. Instead, it's established very early on with empirical proof that forces beyond Earth are indeed involved, then it's a case of how to get the missing child back. This is a straight plot in my mind, with fewer jokes and such than I'd usually have. Despite all the proof and certainty involved at the heart of the idea - I'm 90% sure that the aliens / UFOs will never appear on page. That's very important.

Sci-Fi / Space Opera
I've been interested in sci-fi nearly basically as long as I have fantasy, with shows such as Stargate and Doctor Who being a staple of my childhood and teens (and who're we kidding, adult life too!). Yet it still took many years for me to ever consider writing a sci-fi story. Partially this was due to unfamiliarity with the written genre. Where I'd spent many years reading fantasy, I'd picked up scant few sci-fi stories. When the idea finally hit for my own sci-fi story - I spent a solid month worldbuilding races, societies, and technology that spanned a galaxy. The basic premise is a sci-fi retelling of the story of Guy Fawkes, yet in a VERY direct way, involving time-travel and lizard-aliens rewriting human history. I did struggle with the concept for a little while, because it was a lot gritter and pessimistic in its initial form. But I eventually found the places where I could inject some fun and twist things around in certain ways, until I was certain this had to be a story one day.

Sci-Fi
I've always had a fascination with places that take a very scientific approach / structure when studying extremely mystical / highly advanced concepts. They're even more entertaining when run by idiots / mad scientists. Examples such as Aperture Science from Portal, the Federal Bureau of Control from Control, and the SCP Foundation from the SCP Universe, amongst others. This was another idea that took many forms over the years in terms of WHAT my agency was studying, before I eventually settled on time-travel, which I've always been fascinated by. After spending some time developing the setting and characters, this one still needs a solid plot, but at least has a strong IDEA.

Head of Theoretical Physics at a secret time-travel agency, Nick Stitchensen just wants to solve equations in peace. Except now Belgian separatists have taken over the Alternate Timelines Department. Everyone who could normally help is either stuck in a time loop, trying to make sure Elvis' parents get together, or simply can't fit through the corridors (WHY did Professor Hammond have to put his brain into an Apatosaurus TODAY?!).
Armed with only a doctorate in Quantum Mechanics and a desire for this STUPID day to be over, Nick needs to stop the Belgians, save the agency, and resist falling for himself from an alternate timeline.
